Dwight Parker, owner of Blue Ridge
Border Collies, is located in the
Southern Blue Ridge Mountains near
Brevard NC. Dwight has been training
and trialling border collies since
1999. Dwight and his family , now live
on the farm that he grew up on. They
raise cattle, Katahdin sheep, chickens
, ducks, and of course, border
collies. The dogs are a tremendous
help with farm chores.
 Dwight
and his dogs have competed the past 3
years at the National Cattle Dog
finals, The first two Finals he
attended was held in Big Lake TX and
last year in Torrington WY. Dwight and
the dogs have won several
National Finals awards including a
Reserve National Cattle Dog
Nursery Championship , a National
Finals top Qualifying award and four
National Finalists.

| We at the Triad Highland
Games, Inc. sadly mark the passing of Skip Long
of Squirrel's Nest Farm. He was a dear friend
both personally and professionally. Irregardless
how many years the Triad Highland Games will be
in
being, Skip will always be with us. As we look
across the field we see Skip standing tall in
his kilt and with his dogs around him.
